A farmer killed in a quad bike crash while checking irrigation systems on his South Island property has been named.
Andrew Hamish Baxter, 45, was found dead on the grass verge on Gardiners Road, Rakaia on Saturday night.
Police say Mr Baxter had gone out to check irrigators on the farm when he crashed around 11.15pm.
An investigation into the crash is continuing.
