One person has died and another has been injured in a crash in the lower Kaimai, Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services are at the scene near McLaren Falls Rd, where two cars collided on Friday at around 3:30pm.
Police say people should avoid the area, as the road has been closed while the Serious Crash Unit attends.
Initially the road was only partially closed but it has since been closed completely.
