The international terminal at Auckland Airport was evacuated on Tuesday after a fire alarm went off, causing minor delays for some flights.

The alarm went off at around 7:15pm on Tuesday night and triggered a sprinkler at Burger King, which caused minor flooding.

Fire crews attended the incident.

Operations have since resumed and airport emergency services are investigating the cause of the alarm.
