Government won't do Dotcom raid inquiry – Key

Despite mistakes in the legal attempt to get Kim Dotcom extradited to the United States, the Government is this morning rejecting calls for an inquiry.

Search warrants used to seize evidence from Dotcom's mansion north of Auckland have been ruled illegal.

It's the third negative outcome in court for police since the FBI launched its bid for the Megaupload founder's extradition to face trial for alleged copyright piracy.

Prime Minister John Key told RadioLIVE there won't be an inquiry, and it's not this country's problem.

“It’s really a matter for the United States and New Zealand is not taking a case against the guy, it’s just we have extradition treaties and we work through those.”

The Kim Dotcom case will be back in court in Auckland later this week.
