Police are on the hunt for a group of violent offenders following a serious assault in Auckland.
A man was assaulted just before 1:40am Saturday morning on Riverview Road in Panmure.
The victim was hospitalised with serious injuries but police say his condition is improving and it is likely he will be discharged today.
Police are asking for witnesses to the assault to come forward.
