Police have revealed the names of the children who died in a horror crash in Huntly on Monday.

Ruben Bense Williams, 12, Jasper Tabe Williams, 14, and stepfather Steven Andrew Phillips, 54, were killed when the car they were in crossed the centre line and collided with a truck on State Highway 1.

They were all from Loganlee, Queensland.

A neighbour of the family said they were "the most kindest, supportive family".

Mr Phillips' name was released on Tuesday.

The boys' mother, Belinda Williams, is in Waikato Hospital. She has undergone surgery for facial injuries were caused by an airbag.

Her nine-year-old daughter is now understood to be staying with her grandparents.

Police say their thoughts are with all those involved, including family, friends and emergency services who were at the scene.
