Former news presenter John Hawkesby has paid tribute to Sir Paul Holmes at his funeral in Auckland this afternoon.
Speaking at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Parnell, where more than 1000 people have gathered, Mr Hawkesby thanked Sir Paul for the “memories and the big heart”.
“So long, you clever, charming, courageous, cheeky little whitey.”
