The lack of police is being blamed for the increase in crime.
New figures show an increase in overall crime in the past year, with an 18 percent rise in the number of burglaries.
Police Association president Chris Cahill says he's not surprised by the increases.
"The simple answer is we need more frontline police. We need more police to attend and prevent these offences from happening, and we also need more investigators to solve them, to stop them being repeated.
Mr Cahill says the Government needs to step up and give police more resources.
The Government is being told to fork out the resources so police can deal with the increase in crime.
Mr Cahill says there simply isn't enough police to deal with the crime.
"We need them as soon as possible if we're going to turn around the increase in this offending.
"The drugs, the gangs, that are driving a lot of these offending are increasing, and if we don't have more police to combat that, these stats will continue to look bad."
Mr Cahill says police need more resources as soon as possible.
