A 33-year-old Tauranga man has been arrested in relation to a trio of aggravated robberies this month - the most recent of which occurred earlier on Tuesday.

The offending took place at the Greerton Lotto Shop, while the other two robberies were at the Cameronian Dairy on July 17, and the 14th Avenue Dairy on July 18.

In the Cameronian Dairy robbery, the man threatened a female worker with a hammer, before making off with the till. The incident left the store attendant extremely traumatised.

Tauranga Police have thanked the local community for the information and assistance they provided in relation to the incidents.

The offender will make an appearance at Tauranga District Court on Wednesday.
