Police are investigating after a man was taken to hospital in a serious condition after an assault outside an Invercargill bar.
The 47-year-old was taken to Dunedin Hospital after the incident outside Tillerman's Bar on Don St, at about midnight early today.
A large number of people were in the immediate area at the time, and police want to hear from witnesses to the incident.
