A 60-year-old man on a motorbike was seriously injured this morning after colliding with a turning vehicle while trying to overtake another vehicle.
The crash happened around 10:20am on No 2 Line Okoia, Whanganui.
Police say the motorcyclist was taken to Whanganui Hospital and was the only one injured in the collision.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated, and police say it is too early to tell if any one factor was responsible.
However, they say it is a reminder to drivers to be patient and drive to the conditions.
They want to talk to anyone who saw the crash or the vehicles involved around the time it happened.
