No charge over fatal Mongrel Mob crash

No one will be charged in relation to a fatal crash which killed three Mongrel Mob members near Wairoa last year.

Police say a second vehicle was involved in the incident which killed Terry Stone, Ronald Rigby and Nathan Isaac. One other person survived.

The car fell 150m into the Mohaka River in Hawke's Bay on November 7 as the group was on its way to the gang's 50th anniversary celebrations.

"Forensic tests and crash analysis reports have been completed and as a result, no charges are being considered against the driver of the second vehicle," police said in a statement.

A police-commissioned independent review of the crash by a specialist crash investigator concurred with their findings.

Police say there isn't enough evidence to charge the driver of the second vehicle.

No more detail will be provided because it is now before the coroner.
