A pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a train in Taranaki this afternoon.
Emergency services are at the scene on Weymouth St in central New Plymouth.
Cordons are in place and police are asking the public to stay away from the area until a scene examination has been completed.
The victim has yet to be identified.
