Police appeal to public after van fire in Invercargill

Police want to hear from the public after a vehicle blaze erupted in Invercargill in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to the fire, on the corner of Scott St and Boxall St, at about 5:20am.

Police say the grey van involved in the blaze was left "extensively damaged".

They want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything.
