Hamilton police have launched a homicide investigation after a woman died at Waikato Hospital on Thursday.
The woman, 50-year-old Raewyn Green, was found unconscious at a Pinfold Ave address on Monday night. She was taken to hospital in critical condition.
A post-mortem found Ms Green's injuries suggested she had been assaulted, and a scene examination was carried out where she was found.
Police say they have spoken to a number of people and her family is being supported by Victim Support.
Police would like to speak to anybody who had contact with Ms Green leading up to her death, or anyone who may have seen a man and woman arguing on Monday afternoon in the Pinfold Ave area.
