Police will today try to answer questions about how a night of violence between two friends led to a fatal stabbing in East Auckland.
A 24-year-old man's body was found in his Half-Moon Bay home late Friday night.
Police say the man who allegedly attacked him was apparently an old school friend who is currently in hospital with what are described as self-inflicted stab wounds. He was discovered after crashing his car into a house.
No-one else is being sought over the case - and no charges have been laid yet.
