Rough weather has caused power outages to more than 1700 homes across Auckland tonight, with 823 still without power.
Mairangi Bay on the North Shore was the worst-affected suburb, with more than 940 homes losing power, followed by Wairau Valley with 479.
In west Auckland's Oratia, 284 buildings have been left in the dark.
Glenfield, Glen Eden and Massey are also suffering power loss.
Some regions have been without power for up to six hours so far and Vector Energy says they've still got a wait ahead of them.
Field crews are working on the faults but power is not expected to be restored until 10pm-12am tonight in some areas, Vector says.
