Canterbury residents have their internet back after a fibre cable was cut this morning, causing widespread outages.
Vodafone says mobile and broadband services should have now returned to normal.
The fibre cable was cut after Transpower was working in the Kaiapoi area of Christchurch doing road works maintenance. Thousands had their internet stop working.
Spark, Orcon, Chorus as well as Vodafone customers were all affected.
If anyone is still experiencing problems they should reboot their modem.
