Four fire trucks were called to a house fire in Taupo this afternoon after a number of calls from neighbours.
The blaze began just after 2pm at the two-storey house on Taharepa Rd, north of the main township.
Two trucks were sent to the fire and upon arrival, called another two for backup. However, the additional units were not needed.
One truck remains at the scene and the ause of the blaze will now be investigated.
A fire communications spokesperson says no one was injured and all of the inhabitants are accounted for.
