A teenager is in a serious condition after an accident on a farm near Nelson.
St John has confirmed to Newshub that the boy, aged in his early teens, has been flown to the Nelson Hospital emergency department.
St John was alerted to the incident near Belgrove just before 4pm this afternoon.
An ambulance was sent to the property on State Highway 6, but the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter transported the patient.
Police have refused to comment on the matter.
Worksafe NZ has been told of the incident and has opened an investigation.
