Teens arrested after south Auckland dairy robbery

Two teenage girls have been arrested and charged with the aggravated robbery of a south Auckland dairy earlier this month, which left a store attendant with serious facial injuries.

The offenders, aged 14 and 16, robbed Hari Superette in Papatoetoe on April 3. They were apprehended after a number of search warrants were carried out in Manukau.

At the time police said six women entered the store and started to take items, including cigarettes and cash, while two of them closed the store by pulling the shutters down.

The store attendant was punched and kicked.

Police say one of the alleged offenders is primarily responsible for the violent assault on the shop's owner.

More arrests are expected and police say they would welcome any further information to help identify the offenders still at large.
