A woman appeared in court on a kidnapping charge as an investigation continues into what happened to a woman found bound, gagged and injured on a roadside north of Auckland.
The 42-year-old appeared in in the North Shore District Court this morning where she was granted interim name suppression and remanded without bail.
She is due back in court tomorrow for a bail application.
The woman is the third person arrested in relation to the case in the week since the badly injured victim was found in Dome Valley.
Another 28-year-old woman appeared in court on Saturday charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of threatening to kill.
A 38-year-old man appeared in court over the same incident on Thursday, charged with kidnapping. He was granted name suppression and denied bail.
The victim is still in a serious condition in Auckland Hospital.
