The man charged with the shooting death of a two-year-old girl in Mangere last month will now face further charges.
The 26-year-old was initially charged with unlawful possession of a firearm following the toddler's June 2 death, but he has now also been charged with manslaughter and possession of cannabis for supply.
He is set to appear before the Manukau district court on Monday.
The accused was granted interim name suppression upon his first appearance at the Manukau District Court.
The little girl was allegedly shot with a sawn-off shotgun at the Favona Rd address she'd been living at.
Nobody at that address held a firearms licence.
