All trains in Auckland are now running to schedule after an earlier breakdown at the city's central station caused the Monday morning commute to be thrown into disarray.

A train fault at Britomart at about 7am caused trains on the Onehunga line to be suspended, while the western, southern and eastern lines had all been hit by delays of around 15 minutes.

Commuters trying to reach Onehunga were being advised to take the southern line to Penrose. Auckland Transport was providing buses from the station to the end of the line.
