Two people have been taken to hospital after a shooting at an address in the Auckland suburb of Panmure.
Emergency services were called to Tripoli Road just after midnight and a team policing unit had to be used to clear around 60 people from the scene.
Senior Sergeant Malcolm Tillson says a number of people were upset.
"There's been an altercation between a number of groups, and as a result firearms have been presented. And it appears one person has been shot. The injuries aren't serious, and there are two people who have been taken through to Auckland Hospital," he says.
Police said they are speaking to a number of witnesses at the party and doing a scene examination.
