Victims of New Zealand's largest fraud are outraged that the man responsible is appealing his sentence.
David Ross will today challenge the five years, five months non-parole period from his 10-year sentence.
Around 700 investors were left in the lurch after his Ponzi scheme stripped them of $115 million.
Investors' spokesman Bruce Tichbon says tensions are running high.
"We're really fearful that he's going to get a reduced sentence and they feel what he's got already is just in no way a reflection of the damage he's done," says Mr Tichbon.
He says many victims wish they could counter-appeal for a longer sentence.
