A man has been arrested after leaving a home in Frankton in possession of a weapon.
Queenstown police were called out to a domestic incident involving the 20-year-old man at 12pm on Tuesday.
They responded by cordoning off an area surrounding Kawarau Pl in Frankton, and arrested the man soon after.
Kindergartens and schools near the property were told of the incident as a precaution.
The man is now awaiting his court appearance, which police say will be on "various charges".
