Fifty-nine year old Merle Bradley hasn't let her disability stop her from living life, and she hasn't let it stop her from doing the Abel Tasman National Park walking track.
The West Coast woman was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2014, which has left her in a wheelchair.
But she still managed to travel to Africa, Europe, America and Canada last year.
Now she's travelling at home and for the past two days she's been traversing the Abel Tasman's extensive walking tracks, with the help of the Department of Conservation.
DOC is investigating how accessibility can be improved for people with mobility issues, on more extensive tracks.
Accessibility is better for the shorter walks, but areas such as the Great Walks don't have as easy access.
She finished her trip this afternoon at Kaiteriteri beach.
