A woman missing in Hunua, southeast of Auckland, has been reunited with her family, after being found alive.
The 20-year-old failed to return to an address in Paparimu Rd, after going for a run with her dog early last night.
Her disappearance prompted a search by police and LandSar teams, who found her on a track around 7am.
Police say it is unclear whether the woman became lost or missed the track in the dark.
A search and rescue spokesperson said she did the right thing in stopping and staying where she was, making it easier for searchers to find her.
