A man has had a lucky escape after sailing his yacht into rocks in Wellington tonight.
Police were called to Moa Point in Lyall Bay around 7:30pm, after the boat started taking on water.
The Westpac rescue helicopter was sent along with a police boat.
The man was found to be uninjured after being helped from his vessel, which will stay on the rocks overnight.
