This year's Nobel Peace Prize winner will be announced tomorrow.

But a young Kiwi woman is about to get the chance to rub shoulders with former recipients, including the Dalai Lama, former president of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev and former president of Poland Lech Walesa.

Tanisha Singh, a supporter of the Hunger Project, is the only New Zealander attending this year's World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Warsaw.

So why was she chosen to attend, and what does she hope will be achieved at the summit?

Tanisha Singh and the Hunger Project's New Zealand director Ruth Osborne appeared on Firstline this morning – watch the video.
