Opinion: How MPs change in office

I want you to watch this.

It's John Key in full cry demanding Helen Clark sack Winston Peters over the Owen Glenn affair.

Key: "She now has a reason to doubt the word of Mr Peters."

Key: "Isn't it clear that Mr Peters has now misled the public?"

Key: "The Prime Minister should act to sack Mr Peters immediately."

Now, think about the John Banks affair, and the current Prime Minister's reaction to all the evidence in the police report that he refuses to read - and enjoy the watch.

Isn't it amazing how they change once in office?
