ACC Minister Judith Collins has faced jeering in Parliament this afternoon while announcing the corporation's chairman will stand down.

John Judge will leave the ACC Board at the end of the month and Ms Collins says he's stepping down to take up a new role at ANZ National Bank.

Mr Judge has been criticised for standing by ACC staff who claimed they were threatened by Bronwyn Pullar over the privacy blunder, even though police and a 3 News investigation found no threats were made.

Ms Collins paid tribute to Mr Judge in the House.

“I’d like to thank Mr Judge for the contribution he has made,” said Ms Collins.

“In particular turning around ACC’s financial performance from massive loses left by the previous Labour Government.”

The Bronwyn Pullar allegations are still under investigation by the Auditor General and the Privacy Commissioner.
