A new poll has support for the ruling National Party at its lowest level since it came to power in 2008.

The Roy Morgan poll has National on 43.5 percent, compared to Labour's 33 percent and the Greens' 11.5 percent.
New Zealand First polled at 5 percent, meaning if an election was held today, a Labour / Greens / NZ First coalition would be able to form a new Government.

Confidence in the Government has also fallen, with only 47.5 percent saying New Zealand was heading in the right direction – down 3.5 percent – also a new low for Prime Minister John Key's Government.

“Today’s New Zealand Roy Morgan Poll should provide a ‘wake-up’ call for Prime Minister John Key," says Gary Morgan.

The Mana Party polled 1.5 percent, the Conservative Party 2 percent, and ACT 0.5 percent. United Future did not rate a mention.

The poll has a margin of error of 3.37 percent.
