Yesterday the Supreme Court ruled against the Maori Council's bid to block the partial privatisation of state assets.

As a result, on Monday the Government will reveal how it's going to go about the sale of Mighty River Power, the first power company to go on the market.

In other news in the past week, Labour's Charles Chauvel gave his valedictory speech to Parliament and Oscar-winning film Argo ruffled a few feathers with its inaccurate portrayal of New Zealand diplomats during the 1979 hostage crisis in Iran.
