Police 'ducking and diving' on Pora

3 News political editor Patrick Gower says the police have been "ducking and diving" in order to avoid answering questions on the Teina Pora case.

Pora was jailed 20 years ago for a murder many now believe he didn't commit.

Maori Party co-leader – and Associate Minister of Corrections – Pita Sharples has asked Minister of Justice Judith Collins to look into the case, and police refused to answer questions on it yesterday.

"They're sitting on their hands," Mr Gower said on Firstline this morning. "The police must start to do something, or else they're going to look pretty foolish."

Also discussed this morning was Prime Minister John Key's admission he has known GCSB chief Ian Fletcher since he was at school, and David Shearer's brain fade – it just won't go away.
