Novopay Minister Steven Joyce will make an announcement on the beleaguered payroll system at 12:45pm today.
Mr Joyce took over responsibility for Novopay from Associate Education Minister Craig Foss last week amid increasing pressure on the Government to sort out the problems.
Novopay has left more than 8000 teachers across the country overpaid, underpaid or not paid at all.
Mr Joyce has not ruled out scrapping the system entirely and starting from scratch.
