A radical revamp of the trans-tasman netball competitions is set to be announced today.
After 8 years the ANZ Championship will be dumped as Australia goes it alone, with a new stand-alone competition aligned to a fresh TV deal as well as other Australian sporting franchises.
There's also likely to be a New Zealand competition featuring the 5 current franchises and another side out of Auckland, with crossover trans-tasman play-off matches also expected to be part of the new look.
There will be three new Aussie teams likely to be based in Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland.
