8yo amputee plays football with his heroes

A remarkable eight-year-old's bravery has captured the hearts of players from one of England's biggest football clubs.

Marshall Janson had his hands and legs amputated after narrowly surviving meningitis, but he refused to let that stop his dream of playing for his favourite team, Tottenham Hotspur.

In the face of overwhelming odds, Marshall is showing extraordinary resilience. A little boy who thought he may never walk again, made giant strides onto the pitch of his footballing idols -- Tottenham.

So to a cheering crowd, some reduced to tears, Marshall's dream to kick a ball about with his heroes came true, after a video was posted online of him showing off his skills.

He says his prosthetic legs have made all the difference.

Marshall was only one-year-old when he contracted meningitis, nearly losing his life twice. The only way to save him was to amputate his hands and legs.

His mum says at first he was worried people would laugh at him playing football.

As he grows, Marshall will need new prosthetic legs every year, at a total cost of almost $2 million. So his mum has begun a fundraising campaign buoyed by her son's determination and courage.
