Anthony Joshua on Joseph Parker fight – It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when

Britain's IBF world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has praised New Zealand's Joseph Parker and believes it's just a case of when not if the pair will meet in the ring.

Speaking at Wembley, the venue for his next fight - Joshua said the likes of Parker would come into the picture once the April 29 bout with former champion Wladmiir Klitschko was done.

"I was supposed to fight him (Parker) but he went to fight Andy Ruiz for the WBO belt," Joshua said.

"And once I get past Klitschko, then I can start focusing on guys like Wilder and Parker for sure. These fights have to happen.

"It's not if I fight him, it's just when. That's what it's more about. I'll definitely fight him."

And Joshua had a message for kiwi fight fans.

"You've got a great champion in Parker and when we come together, there's going to be fireworks."
