IBF heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua finally has an opponent for his December 10 fight, but it's not the big name he or his management team probably expected.

American Eric Molina has got the gig, despite talk of an all-British showdown with David Price.

Joshua had been linked to the likes of Kiwi Joseph Parker, Alexander Poulev, Luis Ortiz and as recently as last week, Wladimir Klitschko, who suffered an injury in training.

That fight is now likely to take place in March if Joshua can get past Molina.

The Texas native has won 25 of his 28 bouts, and pushed WBC champion Deontay Wilder last year before being knocked out in the ninth round.

This will be Joshua's second title defence since stopping Charles Martin in April.

Parker will lose his mandatory shot at Joshua when his impending fight with Andy Ruiz is officially announced in the coming days.
