Premier League side Arsenal has confirmed the signing of Spanish striker Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna.
Perez joined Deportivo last season from Greek side PAOK and went on to score 19 goals in all competitions, including 17 in La Liga.
Arsenal didn't disclose the transfer fee paid for the 27-year-old, but UK media reports said it was £17.1m.
"He's not only a goal scorer, he's a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs," manager Arsene Wenger said.
"He's got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year."
Arsenal are also expected to announce the signing of Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia before the end of the transfer period on Wednesday (Thursday NZT).
Wenger said at the weekend that Perez and Mustafi were set to join the Gunners before the club had confirmed either signing.
Mustafi, 24, said Monday the chance to play Champions League football was among his reasons for joining Arsenal.
