The All Blacks have headlined the World Rugby Awards with Beauden Barrett and Steve Hansen winning Player and Coach of the Year respectively while the All Blacks took home Team of the Year.

At the event in London, Barrett beat stiff competition from the likes of teammate Dane Coles, Englishmen Billy Vunipola, Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje and Irishman Jamie Heaslip.

Meanwhile, Hansen pipped Ben Ryan and Eddie Jones to the top coaching gong with his world champion All Blacks side also claiming the esteemed Team of the Year, beating out the Fiji Sevens side who won back-to-back Sevens World Series and the Olympic Gold medal.

The All Blacks have had a stellar 12 months which included their 2015 Rugby World Cup victory as well as a tier one world record for Test victories.

In other awards, Englishman Itoje won the Breakout Player of the Year while fellow English rugby player Sarah Hunter took out the Women's Player of the Year.
