Corey Webster denies there are issues in the Breakers locker room, insisting the team will find winning form with their backs against the wall.

The Breakers have lost six straight games and find themselves languishing outside the ANBL playoffs with five games remaining.

Coach Dean Vickerman was questioned about the unity of the team after their 90-87 loss to the Cairns Taipans.

Vickerman was quick to snub rumours from the Australian media, and Webster echoed his comments.

"Nope, none at all," Webster said when questioned about locker room issues.

"We haven't been winning, we need to turn that around right now."

Webster remains adamant that this current crop of Breakers can overcome the challenges they face with their season slipping away.

"We'll always have confidence in each other and our team all the way to the end.

"We've got five games left to go, we're just going to go as hard as we can every possession from now on.

"I think, with our backs against the wall, it's going to be a good challenge for us and a good test. I think we're going to be okay.

"When there is challenges put in front of us at the Breakers, we've always seemed to succeed and do well under pressure. Hopefully that can continue."

The defending champions have an 11-12 record and hold slim hopes of catching the fourth-placed 13-9 Adelaide 36ers, who they'll host in one of their two remaining home games.

The Breakers also face a tricky home-and-away series against the second-placed Melbourne United.
