New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell has continued his resurgence in the first round of the Abu Dhabi Championship.
Campbell shot a three under par 69 in his first round for the year to be in a share of fifth place, two shots behind Justin Rose of England and Jamie Donaldson of Wales.
Campbell would have been even better placed but for dropping shots on the 15th and 16th holes.
However, he was still ahead of the world's top golfers Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, who shot rounds of 75 and 72 respectively.
Campbell, 43, was in poor form for most of the years after 2005 but came back to form at the end of 2012, finishing third in Portugal and tying for eighth in Hong Kong.
