Draymond Green not suspended for kicking Steven Adams

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green will not be suspended for kicking Steven Adams.

The NBA opted not to suspend Green for his kick to Adams' groin, but he was fined $25,000 for the incident.

Green's foul was also upgraded to a Flagrant Foul 2, but he'll still be available to play in Game 4.

Kiki Vandeweghe, Executive Vice President of basketball operations, said the foul was excessive.

"After a thorough investigation that included a review of all available video angles and interviews with the players involved and the officials working hte game, we have determined that Green's foul was unnecessary and excessive and warranted the upgrade and fine," Vandeweghe said in a statement.

"During a game, players – at times – flail their legs in an attempt to draw a foul, but Green's actions in this case warranted an additional penalty."

Earlier, Adams said the incident looked even more intentional to him when he saw the replays after Oklahoma City's Game 3 win.

"Yeah, [it was worse] from what I had in my mind," Adams said. "Kinda confirmed it almost."

The Warriors, chasing their second straight NBA title, trail the Thunder 2-1 with Game 4 in Oklahoma City on Wednesday (NZT).
