10. (1) Liverpool: An unceremonious dumping for last week's top team. But a 2-0 loss at Burnley will do that to you. There's just over a week left in the transfer window and I think Liverpool need to go shopping for defenders.

9. (New) West Ham: The Hammers ground out a 1-0 win over Bournemouth to see them enter the top ten for the first time.

8. (NC) Tottenham: First win of the season over Crystal Palace sees them hold onto a spot in the top ten. Plenty of room for improvement at Spurs though.

7. (New) Burnley: Sam Vokes' screamer secured a 2-0 win over Liverpool, which I am sure I'm not alone in being surprised about. With record signing Steven Defour arriving things are looking rosy at Turf Moor.

6. (7) Middlesbrough: They picked up their first win of the season at Sunderland, but it's how they are playing that's impressing. I'm looking forward to watching them against a bigger side because I think they'll trip a few of them up.

5. (6) Everton: I think four points is a very good start for Everton given they've played Tottenham and West Brom away. Ronald Koeman has them playing nice football and looking sharp early on.

4. (3) Chelsea: The Blues do look a bit rusty which is no surprise in August. Crucially though, they look to be enjoying their football again and despite their rustiness are one of four teams to with two wins to open up.

3. (5) Hull City: I was stunned I wrote about them last week and I'm flabbergasted to be writing that they've improved since. Mick Phelan struggles to find eleven fit players but his apprenticeship under Sir Alex Ferguson is paying off. They have a perfect two from two record.

2. (9) Manchester City: Sergio Aguero is a player you'd pay to watch train. Incredible header to lead City to a romp over Stoke City. They also look short of their best but are still winning comfortably.

1. (2) Manchester United: For the first time in about three or four years United are actually fun to watch. Tougher tests lie ahead but with Ibrahimovic in sublime form United are looking dangerous.
