Just two months after turning his back on the V8 supercars Shane Van Gisbergen is set to make a return to V8s, but on this side of the Tasman.
When Van Gisbergen walked away from a multi-year deal in the V8 Supercars late last year many thought he'd packed up his helmet for good.
“It's been worse because people have put the word retirement out there. I never said retirement, that means final. I just said I was leaving for a bit - that could be a week, two years, who cares,” says Van Gisbergen.
