Hawks down Breakers to level series

The New Zealand Breakers failed to land the shots when it counted, going down last night 64-61 in Dunedin to the Wollongong Hawks.

The Hawks had the better of much of the match, nearly leading throughout and by as much as 12 points, to level the pre-season series at one-all.

Breakers centre Alex Pledger top scored with 18 points, while Mika Vukona snaffled 11 rebounds. Guard Rhys Martin had 15 points for the Hawks, including 7/9 from the free-throw line.
