Hurricanes Conrad Smith beats concussion

Hurricanes and All Blacks star centre Conrad Smith has recovered from concussion and will start the Super Rugby clash against the Reds this Friday.

Coach Mark Hammett has named three changes to his side with Jeffery Toomaga-Allen making a return at tighthead.

On the bench, Motu Matu’u will make his first appearance for the Canes in 2013 after suffering a pectoral injury during pre-season training and James Broadhurst will pull on the number 18 jersey to replace the injured Mark Reddish.

Not considered for selection this week due to injury includes Jack Lam (knee), Mark Reddish (hamstring), Eric Sione (shoulder) and Blade Thomson (ankle).

Kick off at Suncorp Stadium this Friday is at 11.25pm NZT.
